"Our objective when we started our new home was to combine two cabins into one home. We owned two cabins that were side by side and perfect (as far as we were concerned) to combine. We reached out to Bruce first to see what he thought of our proposal. He was more than willing to work with us on the project. Our completed home is everything we had wished for and more.

"When my wife Chris and I decided to build an addition to our Crosslake home, we interviewed three contractors. We selected Whitefish Custom Builders to build a master bathroom, master closet and a four-season porch. One of the other contractors we interviewed had impressive computer design programs, a fancy brochure and other high-tech ideas. In the end, we went with WCB because of a recommendation from our Realtor, our impressions of the men who were going to do the job and their years of experience.
We are really glad we made that decision.
Their work quality is excellent. The subcontractors they use are tops. They are straight shooters. When we had new ideas from our original plan they eagerly accepted them except when they felt we were making a decision we might regret later. We trusted them implicitly and are glad we did. They also made several suggestions that we agreed to make the final result even better.
We now live in a much more inviting and functional home. EVERYONE who sees their work raves about the quality.

"When we decided to remodel our cabin to make it our own, we hired an independent architect and interviewed 3 contractors. The project involved adding a second floor and gutting the interior of the existing structure. In the end, we went with Whitefish Custom Builders because of recommendations from neighbors who had worked with Bruce and Steve, their years of experience, their network of loyal sub-contractors, and our initial gut feeling that they would treat this remodel as if it was their own.
In the end, our gut was right. It started when Bruce suggested an alternative siding that would give us the same level of durability we wanted and yet save us money. We can think of at least 3 other occasions where they suggested changes to the original plan.
We really enjoyed receiving pictures showing progress throughout the project. The level of service went above and beyond. For example, we purchased appliances at a sale four months prior to the house being ready for the appliances. Bruce and Steve picked them up at the big box store in Brainerd and stored them at their heated shop!
In the end, we have a cabin that has become our own. We love the results and so does everyone who has visited. Anytime a neighbor walks by and compliments us on the remodel we are quick to give credit to Bruce and Steve. After all, these guys did all of the hard work!!
